Tip Of The Week

Custom Eraser Stamps
Carve a simple design into the flat end of a pencil eraser with a craft knife to create a tiny, reusable custom stamp.
This allows you to add unique, personalized patterns and accents to your gift tags without buying specialty stamps.
(Especially handy for creating confetti backgrounds, tiny borders, or signature marks on paper gift tags.)

Our crafts are made for all ages, but even experienced makers can find inspiration here! We know that as makers sometimes the hardest part of “making” is deciding on a project. Use our tutorials as a creative spark—switch up materials, colours, or designs to make it your own. If you create a remix, we’d love to see it! Share your creation on social media with #fivestepstudio or send it to [email protected] for a chance to be featured in an upcoming newsletter
Inspiration & Mood

Before You Start
Mood boards are important because they visually capture the style, tone, and feeling of a project before you begin, helping you stay consistent and inspired. They act as a creative roadmap, guiding color choices, materials, and overall aesthetic. In short, they turn abstract ideas into a clear visual direction.
Soothing Bath Tea Bag

Materials
-Muslin bags with drawstrings
-Salt
-Dried lavender buds
-Dried chamomile flowers
-Dried rose petals
-A bowl for mixing
-A spoon
-Natural twine
-Small cardstock tags
-A pen or marker

Step 1
In a large bowl, pour in the Epsom salt, dried lavender, chamomile, and rose petals. Use a spoon to gently mix everything together until the colorful flowers are evenly spread throughout the salt.

Step 2
Carefully spoon the fragrant salt and flower mixture into one of the empty muslin bags. Fill the bag until it is about three-quarters full, leaving some space at the top.

Step 3
Pull the drawstrings on the muslin bag to close the opening completely. Tie the drawstrings together in a tight double knot to make sure none of the contents can spill out.

Step 4
Take a small cardstock tag and use a pen or marker to write a calming message on it, like 'Soak & Relax' or 'Time to Unwind'.

Step 5
Cut a piece of twine, thread it through the hole in your label, and then tie the twine securely around the knot of the muslin bag's drawstrings.

Final Product
Congatulation you did it! As always we’d like to encourage you to take this craft a step further. Try different types of dried herbs or flowers, maybe something like pine or cedar for the avid outdoor person? Now that you have the “know how” let your creativity run free! If you come up with a creative new version of the “Soothing Bath Tea Bag” we’d love to see it.
